Unfortunately, Assemblyman Fletcher doesn't demand that victims be supplied with help before they become predators. (As a side note, he doesn't advocate that it be easier for victims and parents to sue for complete laspes of judgment, like the Gardner and Garrido cases, nor does he advocate public inspection of parole records.)

They tried to execute child molestors in Louisiana, and the U. S. Supreme Court threw out that law. Yes, there are days I wish we can pour honey and ants over Garrido, but I know that's not going to happen. In the meantime, angry victims will get more unhappy and more angry, because nobody helped them have a better life. If you don't believe me ask:

The culprit's name is Brian David Mitchell. He was abused by his father. He life was sad, and he took out his anger on the young. Elizabeth was not his first victim, but his sex addiction came from being a victim of pedophilia, and later became the aggressor. It's the same nature as Ted Bundy. Mitchell was not stopped when he was young, and he chose to lash out on people he thought could be happy.

I also believe that Garrido and now Gardner were also abused as kids, and nobody lifted a finger to stop the abuse. Because they get angry, they see no purpose in life but to lash out on others, often with deadly consequences.

Until we stop begatting abuse, there will be more Somer Thompsons, more Chelsea Kings, and more Amber Duboises, unless we stop the root causes of sexual abuse. More laws and political hysteria won't fucking keep your child safe!
