DOGGED FAITH? HOW ABOUT FAITH IN PRIORITIES?

I read the hard-copy edition of the article below. One thing that I should comment on is the priorities of Police Departments. When Amber Dubois was missing, Escondido Police put this equation as 2 + 2 = 5. It is because when she was reported missing, and Police heard that Amber was 14, they equaled that age with "runaway". Big problem.

If she was a runaway, how come she still had a $200 check for her FFA activity? As a 14-year old Freshman, it would not be easy for Amber to cash the check.

It is not these errors that come to mind, but errors that  if not committed, when have kept John Albert Gardner III in custody at either a State Prison, or at Atascadero State Hospital.  Instead he was given free reign, including putting a Myspace page under the name "Jason the Stud".

From the L. A. Times:

Dogged faith in these trackers

The family of Amber Dubois say the two canines who searched for the teenager were close to finding her. But bloodhound handlers are skeptical.
